About God:

I believe in God.

I believe God has blessed our country.

I believe that mentioning God in public is not offensive.

I believe if mentioning God offends you, then you are free to move to any country in the world that does not believe in God.

About America:

I believe the United States of America is one of the greatest countries in the world.

I believe our Founding Fathers were very wise men who sacrificed a lot to give us freedom.

I believe the 2nd Amendment is the most important amendment of all.  Without the 2nd Amendment, the Constitution and all the other amendments are not worth the paper they are written on.

I believe the best government is small government which allows the people to thrive.

I believe the American people are innovative, creative, hardworking, and adaptable.

I believe the American people are capable of anything.

About Families:

I believe that marriage is a union between a man and a woman, period.

I believe that a strong family is the foundation of a strong country.

I believe our welfare system tears families apart instead of encouraging them to stay together.  Welfare should be a temporary and limited program, not a way of life.

I believe our children are a blessing and the key to our future.

About Abortion:

I believe that abortion is bad for America and its future.

I believe the only time an abortion should be preformed is to save the life of the mother.

I believe the barbaric procedure known as “partial birth abortion” should be illegal.  There is no way that this procedure is done “for the health of the mother” as some would claim.

About Education:

I believe our children are not being taught about American history.  Our children need to understand the sacrifices made by so many people that allow them to live in freedom.

I believe that we need to teach students in one language, English.  Bilingual education should be eliminated.  To participate fully in America you need to know English.  Now, do not panic or go off the deep end here.  New immigrants who speak little or no English will be taught English.

I believe a lot of our schools are failing to provide an adequate education for our children.  We need to be able to keep good teachers and get rid of the bad ones.

I believe our educators should be able to discipline disruptive children in the classroom and not have to fear the child’s parents hiring a lawyer.

I believe that school administrators waste too much time worrying about being “sued” for stupid things that take place in school.

I believe in a grading and testing system.  The grades A – F should be used.  If a child has a problem with receiving low grades, then the child and parent need to work on improving the child’s performance.

I believe the parents of children who home school should be commended and encouraged.

I believe that parents should receive a school voucher for each of their children.  If the school the children attend fails to provide a good education, the children, and their vouchers, should find a school that does provide a good education.  This includes public, private, religious, and home schools.  Since the parents choose which religious school their children attend the old argument about “separation of church and state” is moot.  It is a parent’s freedom choice.  The parents choose how they want their children educated.

I believe when the National Education Association (NEA) reads the above paragraph they will go nuts!

About Patriotism:

I believe there is nothing wrong with being patriotic.

I believe there is nothing wrong with school children reciting the “Pledge of Allegiance”.

I believe that every child in America should listen to Red Skelton recite and explain the “Pledge of Allegiance” as often as possible.

I believe that every American should listen to “The Americans” by Gordon Sinclair of Canadian Broadcasting.

I believe that when congress added the words “under God” to the “Pledge of Allegiance” in 1954, they did the right thing.

About Flag Burning:

I believe that you do have the right to disrespect and burn our flag; however, I believe that someone else has the right to express their “freedom of expression” and stomp you into the ground without being arrested.

About Individual Responsibility:

I believe if you live or work in the United States you should speak “English.”  English should be made the official language of the United States.  If I moved to another country it would be rude and inconsiderate if I did not learn the language.

I believe that an individual should accept responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming others.

I believe if you get a girl/woman pregnant you should accept the responsibility that goes with it.  If the girl is underage you need to go to prison.  If you cannot accept the responsibility that goes with fathering a child here is some advice.  Keep it in your pants and keep your pants zipped up!

I believe when an individual does something wrong it does not have a “syndrome” to go with it.

I believe that individuals should depend on themselves first.  The government should be the provider of last resort.

I believe every American has to right to pursue happiness and not depend on the government to provide it.

I believe in the “10 Cannots” by the Rev. William J.H. Boetcker:

* You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

* You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.

* You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the

  strong.

* You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage

  payer.

* You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.

* You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than

  your income.

* You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting

  class hatred.

* You cannot establish security on borrowed money.

* You cannot build character and courage by taking away

  men's initiative and independence.

* You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what

they could and should do for themselves.

About Criminals:

I believe in the death penalty.  While some will say the death penalty is not a deterrent, I believe it is not meant to be a deterrent.  It is called the death “penalty” for a reason.  It is a penalty imposed by society on someone who has earned it.

I believe that a person has the right to defend themselves.  No person should have to retreat from a criminal before defending themselves.  No person should have to worry about being sued by a criminal for exercising their right of self defense.

I believe that being a criminal is dangerous.  If a criminal is injured or killed in the commission of a crime, they (or their family) should have no civil recourse.

I believe child molesters, both male and female, are a cancer on our society.  They should be locked up, period.  Each state needs to adopt “Jessica’s Law.”

I believe we need a lot more people like Sheriff Joe Aparo of Maricopa County, Arizona.  He has the right idea when it comes to dealing with criminals and needs to be commended.

About Judges:

I believe the Supreme Court has to get back to interpreting the U.S. Constitution only.  Foreign laws and foreign precedent are NOT part of the U.S. Constitution.  If our Founding Fathers wanted the Supreme Court to use foreign laws and precedents, they would have put it in the Constitution.

I believe that Imminent Domain abuse is bad for the American people.  A remedy for this is for the people to recall any politician that attempts to take someone else’s property to give to another private individual or company.  After the word gets out about politicians being thrown out on their butts, the abuse will stop.

I believe judges should not legislate from the bench.

I believe that judges should stop using “injunctions” as a way to thwart the will of the voters.  If a law voted on by the citizens gets passed, and is not unconstitutional, judges should stay the hell out of it!

I believe that judges do not always make the right decisions.  Therefore, a judge should determine a case based on the law as it applies to that case.  Just because a precedent has been set does not mean it is correct.

About Congress:

I believe that congress needs to include a sunset provision in laws that get passed.  If the law is necessary and useful it will get renewed, if not it will be eliminated.

I believe that congress should devote time to eliminating old laws off the books.  The federal law system should be reviewed and useless laws eliminated.  The only laws that should be passed during the review time are those that are absolutely needed to keep the country running.

I believe congress should quit wasting time on crap that does not matter except to make them look like they are doing something!

I believe a lot of members of congress (both the House and the Senate) are self serving, wanting to maintain their power, and do little good for their constituents or the country.

I believe a lot of members of congress will be angry when they read the preceding sentence.  The angriest will be the ones I am referring to.

About Illegal Aliens:

I believe we need to secure our borders first.  The flow of illegal aliens must stop before we do anything else.  We do not have to do “everything at once.”  Secure the borders, then we will take care of the other issues.

I believe if you want to come to the United States then you need to do so LEGALLY!  Since there are a lot of people wanting to come here, legally, you will have to wait your turn.

I believe that just because you want to come to the United States does not justify coming here ILLEGALLY!

I believe if you came to the United States illegally, violating our sovereignty, you should not be rewarded with citizenship!

I believe if you are here illegally you have the right to protest and demand nothing.  If things here are that bad, and you came here illegally, then return to your own country.  If you want to protest do it in your own streets and see if you change your country for the better.  It is not our fault you have a screwed up government.

I believe if you came here illegally we have the right to deport you regardless of how long you have been in the country.

I believe that once a verifiable system for determining if a worker is here legally  employer’s who knowingly hire illegal aliens should face both prison time and a fine for each illegal alien hired.  (How about 6 months in prison and a $10,000.00 fine for each illegal alien hired?  Hiring 6 illegal aliens = 36 months in prison and a $60,000.00 fine).

I believe we CAN deport 11 million plus illegal aliens.  Since they did not come here all at one time, it will take time.  If the jobs and welfare payments dry up a lot of illegals will leave on their own.  If the illegal aliens do not leave on their own, they need to be deported.

About Dangers Americans Face:

I believe the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is one of the greatest threats to our moral fabric and freedom.  If it is good for America, the ACLU is usually against it.

I believe the United Nations (U.N.) is just as dangerous as the ACLU in jeopardizing our freedom.

I believe that the mainstream media is biased and has done and will continue to do things that harm America.  Aiding the enemy in a time of war is treason.

I believe that “sanctuary policies” for illegal aliens are a threat to our national security and our citizens.  The sanctuary policies are getting American civilians and police killed.

About Defending America:

I believe the 2nd Amendment keeps our country strong.  Our Founding Fathers gave us the right to defend our country and ourselves.  No other country or the United Nations (U.N.) will take that away.

I believe we should have the right-to-carry law in all 50 states and U.S. territories.

I believe that Ronald Reagan was correct by wanting to develop the Strategic Defense Initiative (a.k.a. “Star Wars”).  Does anyone question that North Korea, Iran, and other rogue nations pose a missile threat to the U.S. or its allies?  Sitting around singing “Kum-Ba-Ya” and holding hands is NOT going to protect us from our enemies.

I believe that terrorists who threaten our country should be eliminated.  The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.

I believe that terrorists want Americans dead.  They cannot be negotiated with since their goal is to kill us.  It does not matter if you are liberal, conservative, or anywhere in-between.  They despise our freedom and way of life.  If you do not believe that we should be fighting them in other countries you sure as hell better be prepared to fight them here on our streets.

I believe I need to reiterate to those who do not understand.  As Ricky Ricardo would say “let me splain this to you.”  Hey, the terrorists want you dead!  They want your mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, son, daughter, and every American dead!  Do you get the “hint”?

I believe trying to “appease” those who want to destroy us, our country, and way of life only emboldens them.

I believe if a terrorist attacks America or Americans we need to find out who did the attack, and then kill them, period.

I believe our military is the best in the world and does an excellent job of providing our security.

I believe that upgrading and creating new weapon systems for our military keeps our country strong.

I believe the United States needs to be energy independent.  This needs to be accomplished as soon as possible!  This is a matter of national security.

About Foreign Policy:

I believe that America is NOT the cause of the world’s problems.

I believe a lot of other countries encourage, finance, and harbor terrorists that want to kill Americans.

I believe America needs to re-examine our relationships with other countries.  This includes financial aid, trade, etc.

I believe Israel has the right to exist.

I believe Israel has the right and obligation to defend itself.

I believe no matter what gestures Israel makes to the Palestinians it will not work.  The Palestinians do not want a homeland.  Israel gave them land and financial assistance.  The Palestinians gave Israel suicide bombers and rockets.

I believe a lot of other countries are finally waking up to the fact they have a terrorist problem too.  Trying to appease the terrorists or pretend there is no problem only makes it worse.

About American Business:

I believe if you offer a good product or service, at a fair price, you will succeed.

I believe business owners and those desiring to become business owners help make our economy strong.  Both groups should be encouraged to succeed.

I believe that nobody should be forced to join a union to be able to work.  This country is based on freedom.  A worker should be free to choose to join a union if they so desire.

I believe our entrepreneurs have changed the world and how it works.

I believe the government should eliminate unnecessary rules, regulations, and taxes that force our businesses (and jobs) to move overseas to stay competitive.

I believe that businesses are “sued” too often for the end users stupidity.  As long as the product is not defective, the manufactures should not be held liable for a products misuse.

About The Economy:

I believe the United States has one of the most robust and flexible economies in the world.

I believe that letting the American people keep what they earn is not bad for the American people, our country, or the economy.

I believe that our tax system needs to be scrapped.  No amount of trying to “fix” our current tax system will help.  The “Fair Tax” is the best solution to replace our current tax system.  (The Fair Tax Book, Saying Goodbye to the Income Tax and the IRS, by Neal Boortz and Congressman John Linder).

I believe if you have not read or studied the “Fair Tax” you need to.  We need to get rid of our current tax system that is driving American businesses out of our country.

About The Environment:

I believe that we are supposed to be good stewards of the environment.

I believe we have made significant advances in protecting our environment.

I believe at times we must make trade offs between the environment and things that benefit our country.

I believe companies have a responsibility to do what they can to protect and respect the environment.

I believe recycling is good for both our environment and the economy.

I believe that wind, solar, and renewable energy all have a place in ending our dependence on foreign oil.

About Stem Cell Research:

I believe stem cell research is promising to help cure various diseases; however, I do not believe in creating life, and then destroy it, for the stem cells.  There are many moral and ethical questions about it.

There is a solution that will allow the research, increase the number of stem cells lines, and not destroy life.  We need to create a donor program using “umbilical” cord blood from child birth.

When my son was born in April 2005, we would have gladly donated his umbilical cord for research.  If a couple having a child decides not to “bank” the umbilical cord blood in a private lab, they could donate it if they so desire, to a research program.

About Cloning:

Forget it.
