I believe that the United States is one of the greatest countries in the world.  I am not a politician and have never held an elected office.  Our country needs a person who will not worry about being “politically correct” and is not obliged to anyone.  I am an average person who works for a living and has a family.  I work for a Sheriff’s Department and my wife works at a private firm.  The only connection I have with oil is that I was a Rough Neck in the oil field back in the early 1980’s.

I am tired of all the political bickering.  I am also tired of elected officials, professional politicians, who fail to do what is necessary to fix the problems America faces.  We have problems that need to be fixed now!

I am fed up with the belief that all the world’s problems are a result of America’s existence.

Why I am running as an “Independent” write in candidate:

1. My name will not appear on any ballot so the voter must write my name (or enter my name for electronic voting machines) on the ballot.  There will be no debate over whether someone intended to vote for me or not.  We will not have any dimpled chads, hanging chads, I pressed the wrong button, or I did not mean to vote for him.  All the guessing and debating is eliminated.
2. I am running as an "Independent" because I am unknown in politics and would stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning a nomination.
3. Both major political parties have me hacked off right now so, I believe that running as an "Independent" is the way to go. 
4. This campaign will be a true “grass roots effort” on the part of the American people.  I have no “war chest” which contains millions of dollars.  I will not be asking anyone for money.  I have a "piggy bank" and refuse to accept any political donations.  I will not accept any money from corporations, pacs, unions, federal matching funds, etc.  This way I will not be obliged to anyone donating money.
